Memorial Day

What an awesome day to remember so many that have served our country. Thank you!

It has been a very wet day. We dug out the UNO cards and a few other games Braedon wanted to play and just had fun. We didn't really have any plans other than heading out to the land to do some fishing. We went to Chic-Fil-A and tried the new spicy chicken sandwich. It was okay, probably won't be getting another one. I asked if they were going to come out with a grilled one and they said no. Oh well. I guess I can always order the grilled and add the buffalo sauce to it.

After Chic-Fil-A we headed over to Lowe's to get a few plants for the back porch. We left with these on order:
We figured we had gotten lots of good use out of our old set, they just don't seem to be working quite as well. Lowe's was having a great sale for Memorial Day so we got them. They will actually be delivered on Friday. So, that means I have lots to do before then. I was planning on painting the laundry room anyway so this gives me a good reason to go ahead and do it. I was thinking of going with a light lime green or maybe a sunshine yellow. Not sure yet.

Finally It Happened For ME!!

FINALLY! I made my 10% goal at Weight Watchers!!!

I weighed in last Monday and I was so happy. I got my 10% keychain that I have been wanting so badly! Patrick told me a few weeks ago that if I didn't start doing the program I was going to have to cancel. At that point I was just randomly picking days to count points. I was so close to my 10% goal that I didn't want to quit, so I started doing it. Now, I want to lose about 10-15 more pounds and I will be at my Lifetime goal, then I can go for FREE! And free is always good! Watch, that's when I'll get pregnant!

Graduation Day!

I read once while I was pregnant with Braedon that when you have a baby he/she will be your heart living outside of your body. How true. Braedon is my heart no doubt. It seems like just a few days ago he was born, and Wednesday night he graduated from kindergarten. This has been the fastest school year ever! I don't remember time going by so fast when I was a kid. But then again, does anyone? Although he graduated Wednesday, his last day of school isn't until Thursday. He is counting down the days.

At graduation, he received 5 awards! I was one proud momma! He received perfect attendance, out of 80 kids only Braedon and one other received perfect attendance. He also got an award for excellence in art, reading, good behavior, and of course the kindergarten completion certificate.

At the ceremony, they sang a few songs and they were too cute! We had LOTS of people from "the camp" around us so that made for a very fun, interesting night. HA!

So, It's Been A While...

Okay, I'm obviously not any good at this whole blog thing. I'm so loyal to my own blog I couldn't even find it!

So, on the WW front, nothing to report. I basically quit doing everything. There were a few bumps in the road and I actually canceled my membership. Only to realize I should have just kept it and kept going. I went back last week and I was down .4 pds from the last time I weighed, can't remember when that was exactly. I was happy about that. I skipped this week's weigh in, just wasn't feeling it. On to a new day and new week tomorrow.

Only 4 more weeks of work tomorrow!! YAY! I am so excited to have the summer off with Braedon. Not sure what we will do with ourselves. The week after he gets out of school, which is almost 3 weeks after my break starts, we will be heading to the beach. I think we're all ready for a break. By then Patrick's tough summer will have started and we will be wishing for October.

One more week and I get baptized. Oh yeah, I got saved on Easter! I had been questioning my salvation for a while now and every Sunday I kept feeling what I guess was the Holy Spirit leading me to make my decision. I would get nervous during the invitation, get quite jittery, and have tons of butterflies in my stomach. Just had a very uneasy feeling. So, on Easter Sunday, during invitation, Bro. Bill seemed to be talking to me and me only. It was kind of like everything around me fell silent and all I could hear or feel was the Spirit moving me. So, I grabbed Patrick by the arm (he thought I was wanting to leave) and to the altar we went. What a relief I felt. Back when I was 8 I went forward and thought I was saved and got baptized. But I'm not so sure it was real. Maybe it was sufficient for me at 8 yrs old, I don't know. And looking back over all the preachers I had been under, I realized that I had missed out on so much when we started going to Abilene. The other preachers lacked so much and Bro. Bill is such an awesome man of God and he preached the Word. Nothing more, nothing less. So anyway, I'm saved, going to Heaven, 100% sure of that now.

Boring!

How sad is this blog?! I guess the newness wore off quick! HAHA!

I have had a bad week. Haven't felt good AT ALL! I finally got an antibiotic called in on Friday and I do feel a lot better now.

I took Braedon to Lifeway to meet Bob and Larry (Veggietales) yesterday. He was less than thrilled. I mentioned it and he said he wanted to go. We were the second ones in line. They came, he got his picture made, and that was it. He did come out with a stuffed penguin and I got a book I have been dying to read, Redeeming Love. I started it around 1:00 yesterday afternoon and I just finished it tonight. What an awesome love story, of man and of God. If you get the chance to read it you should. Or if you want to borrow my copy. I got the last copy they had. Little did I know it was the LARGE print version! No wonder it's like 3 inches thick. HA!

Today was church, then to Cracker Barrell with Ron and Kelly and the kiddos. I had a terrible morning trying to find something to wear. I had nursery so I just threw something on. Once we got home I changed into jeans and headed to the mall. I got some awesome deals. I came home with 2 pairs of pants, a pair of jeans, a skirt, 4 sweaters, a pair of sunglasses, and a Columbia fleece UGA jacket for Braedon all for about $200! I have never had such good luck shopping before. I need some knee boots for the rest of winter but I may hit ebay for those. Size 5 1/2 are hard to find.

So on to the diet front. NOTHING! I felt so crappy this week the last thing I felt like doing was counting points. I didn't even weigh in yesterday. I'm actually thinking of just buying a decent scale and canceling weight watchers. Although I would love to make Lifetime! We'll see.

Hope this week is great!

Monday, Monday...

Oh today was awful! It was misery hearing my alarm go off at 6:30! Once Braedon finally got out of bed he was ready to get back to school. We were in the car line and he said "okay, I've got the door handle, I'm ready". Too cute. In just 2 weeks we get another 4 day break. Not bad.

Well, I weighed in on Saturday. I was expecting the lines at WW to be out the door, they usually are at the beginning on January. Wasn't busy at all though. I weighed in and I was only up 2.2 pounds since October! I was completely shocked! I'll take 2.2 pounds. I was sure thinking it would AT LEAST be 5 pounds. I haven't felt good at all since Saturday afternoon, so I haven't been counting points. I've barely felt like eating, just so nauseated. Yesterday I had a few bites of grits, a couple of handfuls of oyster crackers, and a banana. That's it, all day. Hopefully I'm on the mend.
